For its softness, silk relies on the organic oils in your skin. When you wear your garment, the natural oils from your body will assist in softening the fabric.

Silk can lose its shine if left in water for extended periods of time. Avoid rubbing and immerse in water for a short time only.

Our Black Charmeuse Silk Fabric is a lightweight, luxurious, soft, and shiny fabric generally used in evening-wear, lingerie and bridal or wedding gowns. This fabric's gorgeous shine and soft drape make it ideal for bias cut gowns, skirts, and blouses. SIlk Charmeuse can also be used as a decadent garment lining fabric and as soft touch to home decor or bedding projects. The front of the fabric has a characteristic satin finish, while the back is matte. Fabric Weight: 19 MM The fabric is sold by the Yard, and measures 44 inches in width.
